Click image to watch the ESPN crew break down what Peyton Manning’s calls may mean
We might not ever understand Peyton Manning’s calls at the snap unless we’re actually part of the Denver Broncos’ organization, but there have been variations of the “Omaha” call over the years. The ESPN crew has tried to decipher what Peyton was trying to do this weekend with their own football knowledge, giving a little insight on how he fooled the Chargers defense from jumping on the snap a few times over the weekend.
It’s pretty interesting to see how each team uses calls to either fake or as a snap indicator for his offense (all before the ball is snapped), even to the point that they would use quarterback names for specific plays. Peyton manning is one of the most intelligent quarterback’s to ever play the game of football too, so it would be impossible to really know what he’s saying out there. It might just be all gibberish.
Maybe one day he’ll put out a book on some JAY Z Decoded shit.
