Gennady Golovkin (30-0)
Gennady Golovkin is being dubbed as the scariest man in boxing. The reigning WBA and IBO middleweight champion has 28 knockouts on 31 victories, making him the highest KO ratio in middleweight championship history. We left “Kid Chocolate” Peter Quillin out of the discussion (just like Amir Khan) because Gennady may be one opponent Floyd can’t avoid if the public is pleading for this fight to happen.
We’re hoping Miguel Cotto (who Floyd previously defeated) will agree to match-up with Golovkin in the near future to solidify himself as a legitimate opponent in 2015. Gennady Golovkin may not be a household name yet, but with victories over opponents in the sports, with knockouts like we’ve been seeing in past affairs, will have him a fan favorite – and a boxer’s worse nightmare.
