Keith Thurman (23-0)
Throughout his 7-year career, the 25-year-old top prospect has already won Interim WBA Welterweight title and has been proudly defending that belt for nearly 16 months. The biggest thing holding back Thurman from recognition in his tender career so far is the lack of a resume against known opponents he’s battled in the ring.
In his next fight, he will be defending the title against Roberto Garcia, making this upcoming bout his first notable opponent. Much like Floyd, One Time uses the Orthodox stance but is known for being one of the toughest fighters to observe punishment. Some may complain about his hand speed and body movement being too stiff or slow, but there’s a reason why Thurman’s been able to knock out 21 fighters in 23 of his victories. We really wish Floyd wasn’t leaving the game, because Keith is one fighter we would’ve loved to see a younger Floyd battle.
