DeMarco Murray To Sign With Eagles on 5-Year, $42 Million Deal

DeMarco Murray

From division rivals to new employers

DeMarco Murray has been the talk of the Dallas Cowboys ever since Dez Bryant was franchised tagged by the team, and there were no real signs of the organization pushing to keep him. They did offer some lowball figures to him, but he took matters into his own hands by reaching out to Chip Kelly and the Phildelphia Eagles to try to make something happen.

According to Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen, Murray will now ink a deal with his NFC East rivals in an estimated 5-year contract worth a total of $42 million and $21 million guaranteed.

“It was never about the money in any situation. If it was the money I could’ve taken that a long time ago on a very high deal. It’s about winning a Super Bowl and being fair.”- DeMarco Murray

Murray now reunites with former Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford, who was just traded to the Eagles this week, after the team sent Nick Foles to the St. Louis Rams.
