DeMarcus Cousins Suspended by Kings after Altercation with George Karl

Vlade Divac finally grows a pair….

Last night, the Sacramento Kings played host to the Cleveland Cavaliers and were actually winning the game, initially. However, at some point, the northern California team lost their composure, allowing King James and company to climb back in their meeting – eventually taking the lead.

DeMarcus Cousins, who finished with 29 points and 11 rebounds, was frustrated with the team’s performance, and as usual, let his emotions get the best of him. So bad, that he was seen on the bench and in the huddle at times publicly yelling at head coach George Karl.

Vice President of Basketball Operations and GM, Vlade Divac finally disciplined his superstar player earlier today, with suspending him for tomorrow’s home game against the Orlando Magic.

This isn’t the first time that Karl and Cousins have had altercations, as George was trying to trade DeMarcus last off-season. However, team management refused to get rid of the league’s best center and surprisingly fired the staff of Karl last month – leading signs to his eventual future endeavors.

With Rajon Rondo’s name popping up in free agency discussions and Rudy Gay still under contract for the next two seasons, the underachieving Kings could see a complete implosion from coaches to players (not named Boogie Cousins), after missing the post-season once again.
