The rebuilding process continues
The Denver Nuggets have hired their next head coach, the Sacramento Kings ex-coach Mike Alone. The Nuggets fired Brian Shaw in March and even though they had a strong end to the season, interim coach Melvin Hunt ultimately lost the title for next-in-charge to Malone, who exited Sacramento thanks to differences between himself and the front office.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, Malone made the best impression on general manager Tim Connelly and president Josh Kroenke after being interviewed.
First task at hand, who Denver will pick at No. 7 in the upcoming NBA Draft. After that they can figure out where to ship Ty Lawson to.
