The Trail Blazers strengthen their squad

With the NBA trade deadline on the verge of expiring, the Portland Trail Blazers and Denver Nuggets have reached terms on a 5-player deal that involves Arron Afflalo. Less than a year after joining Denver in a trade with the Orlando Magic, Arron now joins a Western Conference power in the Trail Blazers, who are trying to make their team stronger in their push come playoff time.

Afflalo and Alonzo Gee will now be headed to Portland for Thomas Robinson, Victor Claver and Will Barton, as well as first and second round picks.

Arron Afflalo has an expiring deal but can be contribute to the Blazers by giving them perimeter shooting to help Damian Lillard and LaMarcus Aldrdige, whether he’s coming off the bench or put in the starting rotation. This move undoubtedly helps Portland as they have their sights set on a championship run and could be someone they re-sign in the offseason if everything goes well.
