Wilder was always the A-side tho. . .
Saturday night, Anthony Joshua finally made his official debut in the states, as he fought Andy Ruiz Jr. in a championship fight at Madison Square Garden. The general belief from casuals was that Joshua would have an easy victory of Ruiz, given his conditioning and skill set.
However, most didn’t realize that this was the best shape Andy has ever been in, and it showed during the fight, where he was able to keep tagging Anthony in the later rounds. The fight stopped in the 7th round, where Joshua was knocked down twice and simply threw in the towel.
Ruiz Jr soon won the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles; and even called out Deontay Wilder in his post-fight interview. We always knew Andy Ruiz Jr was exceptional with his hands, and him being in his best ring shape was more shocking than anything.
After defeating Alexander Dimitrenko just six weeks ago, he took an immediate fight Joshua, since they were still avoiding Wilder. Following the fight, both Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury voiced their opinions; as you can take a look at that highlights from the bout below.
The worst thing you can do in life is Fucking Quit!!

He wasn’t a true champion. His whole career was consisted of lies, contradictions and gifts.
