Deron Williams’ Double OT Game-Winning 3-Pointer

If only Deron Williams did this more often

Since losing out on the DeAndre Jordan sweepstakes over the summer, the Dallas Mavericks have been quietly surging under-the-radar, as the 5th seed out west. Tuesday night, they were home to host a long-time rivalry game against Boogie Cousins and the Sacramento Kings.

With DeMarcus scoring 35 points and grabbing 17 boards, it still wasn’t enough to overcome the wrath of Deron Williams down the stretch. The game would soon go to a double overtime, as the fatigued collective of players under Rick Carlisle would bet the house down two point. On a corner in-bound pass to Deron, he would pump fake Rudy Gay out the way and drop the game-winning three-point dagger – nothing but net. He finished the game with 25 points and only 4 assist.
