Dez Bryant is now a cowboy for life!

With only 30-minutes remaining until today’s franchise tag deadline for contract extensions, the Dallas Cowboys have finally granted Dez Bryant his wishes. The superstar wide-out has now reached a 5-year, $70 million deal with Dallas to finally end their public contract dispute this off-season. If you remember, Dez took to social media to vent his frustrations about the team and publicly apologize to Cowboys Nation if a new deal isn’t reached.

While many were afraid of the 26-year-old player sitting out some of the season, cooler heads prevailed to raise his yearly salary to $14-million-per-season. The eye-raiser among this new deal is the $45 million in guaranteed money Jerry Jones has ensured his star player. More importantly, the franchise avoided a PR nightmare, a strained relationship and saved their season today. With this contract extension finally behind both parties, Dallas can now focus on their season in hopes making another run at the post-season this January – to finally end their nightmare from last January’s controversial playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers.
