The Dallas Cowboys pulled off a last-second thriller last night against the New York Giants, but they lost their star wide receiver in the process. Dez Bryant will be out for the next 4-6 weeks thanks to a broken fifth metatarsal in his right foot and will undergo surgery to fix it. He suffered the injury during a crossing route in the 4th quarter.
Ironically, he could be back in time for the rematch of their Week 1 game against the Giants on October 26 or Seattle Seahawks on November 1.
Without Bryant, the Cowboys will have to rely on the play of Terrance Williams, Cole Beasley and Jason Witten to carry the bulk load in the receiving end, with Devin Street possibly replacing Dez at his position since Beasley plays from the slot.
After the game last night, Bryant didn’t hesitate to come out and congratulate his team for the win, with no boot or support on his broken foot.
I'll be back soon but how about 9????????#cowboynation
