Although the Miami Heat have stepped their game up since LeBron James left South Beach, the consensus going into the season is that the Cleveland Cavaliers are the lock in the Eastern Conference to make the NBA Finals once again.
DJ Khaled is a Heat fan and he’s so blindingly confident that they have a championship team, that he was willing to bet Complex an undisclosed price and put his money where his mouth is. His argument is the fact that Miami won rings without King James, so he has no doubt they can do it without him again, and it’s happening this season. He didn’t even hesitate when asked if the Heat had a championship caliber team. The thing is, he’s in the minority.
It’s safe to say the Heat have been cursed by DJ Khaled once again.
