Do You Want To See The NFL Expand The Playoffs?

Owners and the NFL Competition Committee have been talking about playoff expansion for years but it looks like the move is getting closer. Roger Goodell spoke on this very subject earlier today, as owners meetings were coming to a close.

Although it may not happen as soon as the 2014 season, Goodell wants to work with the player’s association and broadcast networks to make sure everything is right before they proceed. Games schedules with 14 teams (seven from each conference) instead of 12 is a subject the owners are asking about, especially if it means playing on a Monday or having triple headers on Saturday and Sunday.

The NFL also has to think about how this will affect the safety of players and injuries, considering there have been talks of extending the league to 18 weeks.

Is this a move you want to see as a fan, though? Will this make things more competitive for the league? Just yesterday, our readers were blasting the NFL for banning goal post dunks. Not to mention Mark Cuban’s two cents on the league right now.

It hasn’t been such a good week for the NFL.
