Early speculation indicates Kevin Durant might return home to Washington D.C. when he becomes a free agent in 2016, but Drake threw his Toronto Ambassador hat in the ring and asked the OVO Fest crowd their thoughts on the 2014 NBA MVP coming to Canada while he was in attendance. It seems he would be ecstatic to see KD rock that Raptors jersey and play with DeRozan, Ross and Lowry.
Of course the crowd erupted in a standing ovation immediately after.
UPDATE: Word is, the NBA fined the Toronto Raptors for Drake’s comments at Kevin Durant during OVO Fest.
He might be focused on Oklahoma City for the moment, but a decision will draw near for him. Any team he chooses to play for would be lucky to have his All-Star caliber services and if the Wizards land him, their future will be extremely bright.
