Drew Brees’ 400th Career Touchdown Is A Game Winner Against Cowboys

IT’S LIT!!!

Coming into today’s game, things were a little shaky for the New Orleans Saints (they hadn’t won a game all season) and their star quarterback Drew Brees, who was still nursing a bruised rotator cuff. Coaches and doctors didn’t know how well he would perform, but still made the decision to put him in a big game against the Dallas Cowboys that could have been a foreshadowing of what the rest of the year would end up. Even though Drew wasn’t 100%, the #WhoDat nation quarterback pulled through the pain, especially when it counted the most.

After the Cowboys came back from trailing for most of the game, the Saints could not seal the game with time winding down in regulation (they missed a field goal to win) and things went into overtime, when history was made and the win was stamped.

On the second play of OT, Brees connected with C.J. Spiller for a pass that turned into a 80-yard touchdown. The score made Brees’ 400th career touchdown even more special, not only making it a game-winning drive, but giving the Saints their first win of the season.

Drew finished the game 33/41 for 359 yards and threw for two TDs in his return to the turf.

FINAL OT: NO 26 | DAL 20
