Saints are looking legit now
It was a complete shootout in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome live from New Orleans, Louisiana as the New York Giants came into town to take on the Saints. The two teams went back and forth, putting up the third highest total number of points in a match (101) between both teams and the game had to be decided by a field goal as time expired, giving the Saints a 52-49 win.
Drew Brees completely blacked out and ended up throwing seven touchdowns on the day, to five different receivers. With that stat line, he became the eighth quarterback in NFL history to throw for 7 TD’s in a single game. He finished the game with 511 yards passing and one interception. Brandin Cooks and Willie Snead both caught two touchdowns each, while C.J. Spiller, Benjamin Watson and Marques Colston all caught one.

New Orleans has now won 4 out of the last 5 games and stay in the thick of the NFC South race, trailing the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers atop the division.
