Following his official introduction today with the Houston Rockets, Dwight Howard sat down with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith to discuss his decision in leaving Los Angeles. Stephen A quickly brought up the question, asking Dwight when did he make his final decision, saying it was Independence Day; which leaked the following night in signature controversial fashion. Howard also spoke on how his season ended, which he admitted to handling wrong where he was ejected from the game being his last with the Lakers.
In the first 5 games of the season, coach Mike Brown was fired from the team ,which prompted Dwight to ask for the hiring of Phil Jackson. Following the hiring of Mike D’antoni; Dwight said he just wanted to play out the season (which we think was the beginning of the end of his tenure in Los Angeles).
He closed out with speaking on recent comments from Shaq Diesel saying “Dwight wasn’t ready for the Bright Lights,” Kobe Bryant un-following him on twitter, along with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic Johnson speaking on his departure.
