Watch Dwight’s inside the NBA interview!
Tuesday night, Shaquille O’Neal and Ernie Johnson had the night off, to accept some Emmy Awards in the big apple. Turner Sports called up Dwight Howard to make a drive down to the Atlanta studios, where he’s currently spending his off-season at, back home.
However, what turned into the former superstar center offering some in-depth analysis to the shocking Oklahoma City Thunder victory over the San Antonio Spurs – soon became a bizarre intervention. Charles Barkley, who never had the chance of hoisting a Larry O’Brien trophy in his hall-of-fame career, was fearful that Dwight may fall into that same category.
Barkley even called out Dwight for not taking the game of basketball serious at times, including not being able to put egos aside with current and former players he’s butted heads with. Howard would address every criticism he’s faced of his entire career in 20-minutes of brutal honesty.
While Dwight said it hurts to see his name mocked in the public eye, he went to reiterate that he’s taking the back-end of his career very serious – including making his regains health is improved summer. Unfortunately, he wouldn’t discuss any opt-out plans for free agency.
Let us know if Dwight’s comments change your perspective on him, after the interview above.
What Twitter Said:
What a TV stretch – peak 90/10 Westbrook, Donovan outcoaching Pop again, Barkley's Dwight intervention and Pens over Caps in OT. Now what?

This version of Dwight Howard is pretty much who he's been since he got to Houston. He's said all the right things
