A few days ago, Dwight Howard was on ESPN’s The Jump and he talked about changing his game this offseason to add more perimeter shooting to fit the new mold of the NBA. Howard has always been known as an old school, pound the paint type player, but today’s NBA requires bigs to stretch the floor and be able to hit long range shots on the pick-and-roll. To stay relevant, Dwight has been wanting to switch it up.
Ever since, plenty of analysts and media members have been ripping him and saying that it would be weird to see that on the court. They’ve been hating on him, saying he can’t do it.
D12 was on The Jump again to speak on the criticism, saying he doesn’t listen to the outside chatter and he’s going to work on his three-pointers anyway. Although he doesn’t want to put his team in a bad position, he wants to try it out so he could be more versatile and help them win.
Do you think this Dwight experiment will work? Or should he just stick to what he knows?
