Dwight Howard sure is ballsy. In a recent interview with an Orlando newspaper, he spoke on his reasons leaving LA for Houston and how he knew he would be hated for it. Howard explained that it was the best thing for himself, which was the main factor in the decision. Dwight also spoke on how he left the Orlando Magic franchise, revealing that he wasn’t happy with the way it went down; but that it essentially had to be done.
He also made the pretty ridiculous claim that the Magic should have retired his #12 immediately after his departure and that Tobias Harris shouldn’t have been allowed to use the number last season. To put this in perspective, the Magic only have one jersey retired in their rafters: #6 for the fans. No Shaq, no Penny, no T-Mac, no Dwight.

“I just think that despite whatever happened, there was a lot of things that I did and that we did as a team, and that number was special down there,” Howard said. “And I was a little bit upset about that.”
