Earl Thomas III Gets Flagged For Hugging Ref After Touchdown

The Legion Of Boom is always good for sacks, interceptions and fumbles on any given week and they came to play early against the New Orleans Saints today.

On a Mark Ingram rush, the Seattle Seahawks defense came up with a fumble strip to Earl Thomas, who took it all the way to the house for the score. As routine as that sounds, the funniest play came after the fact when Thomas was celebrating. First, he threw the ball into the stands and fell on the ground as his teammates rushed to congratulate him.

Then, he went up to a ref and hugged him.

And guess what happened? He got a flag thrown on him for unsportsmanlike conduct. Seriously, the NFL won’t let the players do anything on the field but get concussions.

No wonder ratings are down.
