Eddie Lacy Carries the Cowboys Defense in Huge Run

Where have you been Edward?

This is the Eddie Lacy we wanted to see when we drafted him in the first round of our fantasy football team this year, yet he was missing in action for most of the season.

Just last week, he was rotting on the sidelines, because being late for a practice caused coach Mike McCarthy to throw him in the Green Bay Packers doghouse. This was right after coming off a back-to-back 100-yard games too. It was tragic.

It seems like he was in good graces today, because he played like a demon possessed.

Case in point, this long run in garbage time where he pushed and clawed his way to a 24-yard gain. He powered through for a first down and then carried teammates and Cowboys defenders to the goal line. Just look how many people it took to bring him down.

He scored on the very next play.

Lacy ended the game with 124 yards on 24 carries and one score on the game. But James Starks was no slouch either. He had 11 carries, 71 yards and a touchdown himself. The team finished with 230 yards rushing on the day in a game where Aaron Rodgers didn’t have to air it out much.

As for the Cowboys, they trail the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles two games atop of the NFC East, as both teams are neck and neck with a 6-7 record.

Pour out a little liquor for the Cowboys season.
