Elvis Dumervil, Baltimore Ravens Agree To 5-Year/$35M Deal

Baltimore Ravens Sign Elvis Dumervill To Mutli-Year Deal After Release From Denver Broncos.

The Denver Broncos released star linebacker Elvis Dumervil, due to financial reasons for cap space as he has now found a suitable home now with the Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens agreeing today to a new 5-Year deal worth $35M. The Broncos are now in the process of acquiring Peyton Manning’s former teammate in Indianapolis, Dwight Freeney who’s also a free agent along with John Abraham.

With the loss of Dumervil, the Broncos are on the clock to make a decent move to help keep their defensive line afloat. The Ravens who were thought of as an afterthought with the loss of Ed Reed and retirement of Ray Lewis will still have one of the NFL’s premier pass-rushes as Dumervil will join Terrell Suggs and Haloti Ngata.

Baltimore’s still expected to win the AFC North next year as if they can get the magic from Joe Flacco who had a perfect 2013 postseason winning last month’s Super Bowl, the Ravens could be a threat to anybody in the AFC if their team gets hot at the right moment.
