Green Bay Packers
– Mend run defense
– Retain key free agents
The Green Bay Packers were soft cheese against the run last year, ranking in the bottom half in the league and allowing 120 rushing yards per game. Clearly their sixth-ranked offense often made up for the discrepancy, but this is something they must fix before they’ll be able to compete for another Super Bowl.
One of the biggest difference makers for the Packers over the past few years has been Randall Cobb, whose versatility and athleticism has helped him and the Packers win a lot of games over the years. He’s now set to hit free agency, and will surely have many suitors fighting tooth and tail for his talents.
The Pack will have to choose how to spend their cap money intelligently as Cobb is just one stalwart they’re faced with losing—Bryan Bulaga and John Kuhn being the other two. It’ll be interesting to see how Green Bay handles all this, because it’s clear they have some unenviable decisions to make.
