New England Patriots

– Draft their next No. 1 receiver
– Protect their secondary from free agency

While the New England Patriots get their championship rings fitted, they should also keep a sharp on this upcoming class of receivers, as they definitely need to make a move for their receiver of the future.

Even though Tom Brady is entering his last few years in the league, they can obviously still compete for titles and will need a stud receiver if they want a good chance of repeating. Though they’re the last pick in the first round, they’ll still be able to nab a promising prospect at that point or even in the second round. Plus, Bill Belichick is known for wheelin’ and dealin’ on draft day, so they may be able to finagle a higher pick come April 30th.

Aside from finding a new No. 1 receiver, the Patriots also have to worry about keeping half of their secondary. Both Darrelle Revis and Devin McCourty are UFAs, and will surely have many teams after their services. The Patriots aren’t huge on blockbuster free agent deals, but they’d be wise to hold on to one (or ideally both) of the defensive backs. Revis is without a doubt one of the best in the league at his position, but McCourty has been performing at a high level for New England since he was drafted, and would get our vote over Revis.
