Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Love & Hate: Week 6

joeflacco

It was a heartbreaking week for the kid. I lost in one league by two points thanks to Brian Quick’s flop against the 49ers, and in another league, Colin Kaepernick burned me and I lost by 5 points. Seeing your #1 ranking slip because of two goddamn points is frustrating, but luckily, I didn’t slip too far down. The season isn’t done by any means.

I know I wasn’t the only one out here with struggles. Owners of Victor Cruz or those playing against Joe Flacco probably suffered similar outcomes. But the only way to overcome the same fate is playing better matchups. Besides waiver wire, matchups is the second most important thing when picking your lineup every week. For example, I’m sitting Zac Stacy this week because he takes on Seattle Seahawks. It pains me to bench my second round pick, but this year’s theme has been the demise of early round picks.

Surprisingly, there’s some rookies doing better than established veterans and if you’re desperate, you might as well ride them out. Shit, I’m starting Derek Carr in my 2QB league. I have Branden Oliver starting in that same league. I’ve relied in Kelvin Benjamin more times than none. Jeremy Hill has been holding me down too.

You can find some gems in the younger crop of players, so choose wisely.
