Floyd Mayweather Caps Off His 37th Birthday Celebration With The Announcement Of His Next Bout.

Undefeated boxing legend, Floyd “Money” Mayweather is still currently celebrating his 37th birthday and finally revealed who his next opponent would be otnight. While Manny Pacquiáo’s set to step into the ring in April against Timothy Bradley for his WBO Welterweight title (had to throw that in there), Floyd has announced he will be fighting WBA Welterweight champion Marcos Maidana. Those of you may remember Maidana gave Adrien Broner his first defeat over the holiday in December and will be looking to make more history May 3rd challenging Mayweather for the WBC and Ring Magazine Welterweight titles.

In comparison to Broner, Floyd takes no opponent lightly and trains just as hard for his weaker opponents than he does for more challenging fights. The 147-pound (stand by for imminent catch-weight) bout will be a unification bout of all belts involved. While we’re thankful that Floyd decided against fighting Amir Khan, we’re at least intrigued to hit a local bar and watch.
