Floyd Mayweather Jr. Granted Early Release For Good Behavior
Early Friday morning, undefeated boxing great, Floyd Mayweather Jr. walked out of the Clark County Detention Center in Nevada to be greeted by best friend 50 cent in a Bentley Sedan as well as various other friends and family members. Floyd was eligible for the 30 day early release due to Nevada state laws for allowing 10 days off per month for work time and good behavior during his time served.
The 35-year-old boxer initially faced felony chargers that could have gotten him a 34 year prison term but agreed to a plea deal to avoid serious jail time. Mayweather is now a free man and as the boxing world waits to see who his next opponent will be, promoters for Manny Pacquiao are already trying to secure a November 10th fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas according to Nevada Athletics Commission executive Keith Kizer. Mayweather also has the choice to retain his WBC Welterweight Belt in a bout with Robert ‘The Ghost’ Guerrero, but the general feeling now is that he will try to get the Manny Pacquiao fight done this year, pending blooding testing of course.
