After much speculation, Frank Lampard has officially joined Man City on a loan deal. The transfer, which will last until January, will come as a surprise to Chelsea fans following his 13-year career with the club, and returning to the Premier League with one of their biggest title contenders. Lampard signed for the newly formed New York City FC last month for free, but will be spending time back in England until entering Major League Soccer for the 2015 season. The US club are owned by both Man City and the New York Yankees, which has likely played a vital part in the 36-year old’s sudden move to Pellegrini’s side.
