Frank Vogel To Become Head Coach of Orlando Magic

It didn’t take long for Frank Vogel to find a new destination after the Indiana Pacers parted ways with the head coach and it looks like he’s packing his bags for sunny Florida because he has a greed to a deal in principle with the Orlando Magic.

The Magic were going through a bit of a transition as well, with Scott Skiles resigning of his position just last week, reportedly due to differences in the future between him and management.

Vogel is considered one of the top candidates out there and more teams were ramping up their pursuit of the coach, so Orlando had to make sure they locked him in quick.

Frank will now take over a promising young nucleus which includes Aaron Gordon, Victor Oladipo and Elfrid Peyton, in hopes to turn the franchise around and bring them back to playoff glory. The Magic also secured the No. 11 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, which puts them in a good position to bring in an impact player for the coach and his staff.

If Vogel can win over the players quickly, this young squad may be dangerous in little to no time. Don’t be surprised if they’re knocking on the playoff door and make it in next season.
