When the NBA schedule came out months back, we saw a ton of games that sparked our interest for the beginning of the season. However, one stood out more than the rest and that’s tonight’s matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat, live from the Barclays Center. This is the first time that the new look Nets will battle the defending NBA champs, in what many believe could be a future matchup of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Both teams come into the game tonight following a loss and look to get back into the win column. The Heat fell to the Sixers on Wednesday while sitting Dwayne Wade and the Nets opening night was ruined by the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Heat will see some familiar foes on the other side of the court tonight, in former Celtics Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. There is absolutely no love between any of them, so expect fireworks from the start. This is also the type of game where the Heat like to make a statement and prove that no team in the NBA can touch them. Expect a very physical and intense game tonight that should be nothing short of entertaining from start to finish.
UDPATE: Brooklyn Nets defeat the Miami Heat 101-100.
