From SpyGate to DeflateGate: ESPN Alleges Patriots Videotaped Opponent’s Signals in 40 Games

Watch this monumental episode of Outside The Lines

With the 2015 NFL season set to begin tomorrow night (in Massachusetts of all places), ESPN has chronicled the complete timeline of events of the 21st Century love/hate relationship between Roger Goodell and the New England Patriots. In the latest report of Outside the Lines, Don Van Natta and Seth Wickersham revealed reports that the Patriots recorded over 40 games of opposing team’s hand signals – in comparison to previously revealed six games.

The authors also implied that DeflateGate was “a makeup call” for SpyGate, which has made the NFL and its commissioner look extremely bad in the public and more importantly private eye.

Van Natta and Wickersham aren’t the only ones who feel this sentiment, as several NFL owners have also privately said they believe Goodell orchestrated this entire DeflateGate debacle, which obviously backfired for the league’s integrity. During the span of 2007 and 2007, and possibly even present, the Patriots will look to move past alleged cheating reports during the league’s tomorrow night against Big Ben and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Take a look at the piece above.
