Is Boogie Purple and Gold bound? IT’S LIT!
Since hiring George Karl last winter, we were skeptical the dynamic of the legendary no-nonsense head coach would be able to coexist with DeMarcus Cousins. The Sacramento Kings would once again not quality for the post-season, with a horrific 29-53 record – given the talented collection of players they have on salary.
Last night, Yahoo Sports writer Adrian Wojnarowsk officially started the NBA free agency frenzy, with revealing George Karl reportedly wants the all-star center traded. At the present, vice president of basketball operations Vlade Divac and owner Vivek Ranadive are against trading away their star player, but Boogie has learned through teammates about George’s desire to move him. The relationship between the two is now likely unrepairable, as Boogie took to twitter to subliminally say “when the grass is cut, the snakes appear” – without saying a single word.
The Los Angeles Lakers have been one of th main organizations pushing for a trade of their no. 2 overall pick to land Cousins, which is something that Kings don’t think is appealing at the moment. DeMarcus is still under contract for the next three seasons, where he’s set to make over $50 million.
