At last, the 2014 NFL regular season officially kicks off tonight! After putting on arguably the biggest defensive showcasing in the history of the Super Bowl, the Seattle Seahawks look to continue efforts from their impressive season last year, with hopes of becoming a legitimate dynasty. Even losing Golden Tate in free agency, the team drafted standout Colorado collegiate player Paul Richardson last spring to fill in the void, which seems to be working out thus far. GM John Schneider and head coach Pete Carroll return with essentially the exact team they had last year talent wise, and Percy Harvin will finally have his first healthy year with the team.

Golden Tate, you will be missed this season sir!

After Seattle enjoys a few cheers with the fans on opening night, they will be facing a highly respectable opponent from Green Bay. The Packers are looking to return to promise in a heavily packed NFC, after an unfortunate injury-plagued 2013 outing. With superstars Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews returning completely healthy after missing action last season, Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb are both playing in contract years – which we expect them to display their best output production for the cheeseheads this season.

Aaron Rodgers is back to give more ass slaps for no damn reason.

Last month, nose tackle B.J. Raji was ruled out for the entire season after tearing his right biceps, which will be an obvious initial blow to the team for chemistry issues; but Green Bay has enough weapons to overcome the severity of their loss. Seattle has an obvious better defense, but the Green Bay isn’t that far behind. Opening night essentially comes down to offense. On a neutral field, we’d consider leaning towards Aaron Rodgers and company; however, having the loudest crowd in North American sports will be the driving force into close thriller we expect to see, with Russell Wilson and L.O.B. continuing from their destruction of Peyton Manning.
