Greg Oden Reflects on Failed NBA Career with ESPN’s ‘Outside The Lines’

ESPN’s ‘Outside The Lines’ with Greg Oden

Nearly two years ago, the biggest talk of the NBA was franchise ready college superstars Greg Oden and Kevin Durant. While the Portland Trail Blazers would take time to carefully think about their future with LaMarcus Aldridge and Brandon Roy at the time, they decided a center was the cornerstone to their future. However, Oden would miss his entire rookie year with Portland and see limited action during the 2009 season before suffering a career-threatening injury the next year.

Throughout his time with the Blazers, the former Ohio State star would see just 82 games played with Portland before being waived. He would try to give it a go with the Miami Heat two years ago, but his knees just weren’t the same, as he officially retired from the NBA last year. Above, ESPN decides to feature the 28-year-old in the latest episode of their Outside the Lines series, which Greg goes into details on what he’s been doing in his post-NBA career.
