Imagine playing a game in the NBA and your team wins in dramatic fashion. And while everyone else is celebrating the W, the coach is talking to the media ripping the whole squad. That’s essentially what happened last night with the San Antonio Spurs against the Phoenix Suns.
Rudy Gay hit the game-winning bucket to lift the Spurs past the Suns 126-124 and after the game, Coach Gregg Popovich was asked about what happened.
Not only did he say it was a pathetic win, but he gave the Suns all the credit. He said they got out coached, they were more physical and out played them. He dropped the mic on reporters by saying Phoenix got robbed.
It was a classic rant by Pop.
San Antonio maintains the sixth spot in the Western Conference as one of the surprise teams in the league this season, as they continue battling for playoff positioning.
