a shot blocking machine!
It was Hassan Whiteside dominating the paint against the young Minnesota Timberwolves, but even his triple double wasn’t enough to get the Miami Heat the win on Tuesday night.
Whiteside finished the game with 22 points, 14 rebounds and a monster 10 blocks on the game, making that his second triple double of his career.
Even though his defense was particularly nasty down low, the Timberwolves started hacking him down the stretch and he wasn’t hitting free-throws so coach Erik Spoelstra had to bench him during a critical time in the game. Not to mention the fact the Heat didn’t get much help from the bench on the night. Superstars Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade both ended the match with only 10 points each, as Luol Deng came in second in scoring with 20 points of his own.
Once again, it was the Andrew Wiggins show, because he led all scorers with 24 points, while also getting assistance from Zach Lavine (17 points) and Shabazz Muhammad (16 points)off the bench.
The loss at home puts the Heat at 6-4 record for the year, and the Timberwolves move up to 5-6.
