Timothy Bradley Puts His WBO Welterweight Title & Undefeated Record On The Line Against Juan Manuel Márquez.
Earlier this year, Timothy Bradley Jr. had one of his biggest fights to date against Ruslan Provodnikov, where he won in a 12-round unanimous decision. Tonight, his level of competition increases against Juan Manuel Marquez for the WBO welterweight title. Both fighters (who gave Manny Pacquiao his last two losses) are matched up pretty evenly, which could go the distance for a split-decision. Bradley will be looking to use his speed and quickness to tire out the older Marquez, but Juan will have to slow down the pace of the fight and make it a slug-fest. A slowed down fight is something Bradley will not be looking for after taking heavy damage from escaping against Provodnikov, which Marquez could use strategy from that bout to his advantage.

Unlike the previous fight, Bradley can’t stand still on his feet against Marquez, because he’ll essentially get knocked out in comparison to Ruslan. Most are expecting Juan to come relaxed into the fight after his knockout ‘Champion of the Decade’ victory against Manny Pacquiao, but we’re certain that won’t be the case here tonight. We’re 50/50 with picking the winner, but we’re guaranteed for a better fight than the previous Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Saúl Álvarez sleeper, where we witnessed a boxing 101 massacre. Hardcore boxing heads, this is one fight not to miss in a few hours when it goes down.
