Westbrook’s 31 Points & Late Three Pointer Not Enough To Overcome Iguodala’s Game Winner In Warriors 116-115 Win.
Following a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, where Serge Ibaka was ejected after an confrontation with Matt Barnes; the OKC Thunder traveled up to the Bay Area last night for an epic showdown with the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors, who had more time to prepare for the game (having the previous night off), were in hopes of making a statement win against one of the proven elite teams in the west, being the Thunder.
Midway through the 4th quarter, the Warriors lead was up to 14 points and the game seemed all but over. Oklahoma City, however didn’t feel that way as Reggie Jackson would provide an extra boost of scoring to the team for Durant and Westbrook to catch fire at the end of the game and they did. With just seconds remaining before intermission would conclude, Russell Westbrook would knock down a 3 from a broken play to give OKC their first lead since the 1st quarter.
Golden State had more chance to prevail in the thriller and Iggy would show all why he was Warriors. With just 2 seconds remaining, Andre netted a corner fade-away at the buzzer to win the game for the Warriors, avoiding an almost 4th quarters collapse. Watch highlights for the game after the jump.
