Highlight Of The Night: Cavaliers Hold Off Late Rally & Hand T-Wolves First Loss

It was a slow night in the NBA in terms of amount of games, but that doesn’t mean the drama wasn’t still there. The only game that really went down to the wire was in Cleveland where the Cavaliers held off the Timberwolves late rally to secure their 2nd win of the season. This was the first loss of the year for Minnesota, who was playing on the back to back following an impressive win against the Knicks last night. The Cavs really controlled this game all the way up to the middle of the 4th quarter when the T-Wolves made a ferocious run and came within one point of stealing the game.

For Cleveland the key factor was CJ Miles off the bench dropping 19 points and getting a season high in minutes and points from Andrew Bynum with 18 and 8 respectively. It was another pedestrian game for Kyrie Irving who just hasn’t been able to find his groove it seems yet. They still seem to be adjusting to Mike Brown’s offense and Kyrie is too talented to hold down for long.

OS REWIND: Kevin Love Daps Up Spike Lee While Crushing The Knicks

Regardless of win or loss in this one both of these teams are without question two of the most fun young squads to watch in the league. Behind their big 3 of Kevin Love, Rubio & Pekovich the Wolves have nothing to worry about moving forward and could be a surprise team in the West. Minnesota did everything to win this one tonight rallying late as we mentioned and even gave Love a good look at the end to win the game. Teams better take notice of this squad fast because they will surprise some folks very soon.
