Highlight Of The Night: Jrue Holiday Leads Pelicans To Big Victory Over Blazers

Portland Trail Blazers 12 three-pointers not enough in 110-108 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.

For the first time this season, the Portland Trail Blazers have lost consecutive games. Following a miraculous buzzer-beater on Saturday night from opponent Chris Bosh, we’re assuming Portland still had their previous defeat to the LeBron James-less Miami Heat on their mind.

The New Orleans Hornets have been playing sub-par ball in the though Western Conference, now one game from a .500 record to end the year. LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard carried the scoring load for their team, scoring 28 and 29 respectfully; but saw little bench production help from role players. That definitely was not the case for the Pelicans, as Tyreke Evans scored 20 points off the bench to outscore Portland’s alone.

While Jrue Holiday scored 31 points on 28 shots, Anthony Davis was efficient in his battle against Aldridge scoring 27 points and 12 boards. The game would come down to the final seconds with Damian Lillard netting a deep three pointer, but Tyreke Evans would make a go-ahead bucket with one second left to win them the game.

Portland now travels over to Oklahoma City for the 2nd of their back-to-back trip in a meeting against Kevin Durant and the Thunder.
