After manhandling the Chicago Bulls last night, giving Derrick Rose a loss in his first game back after injury, the Miami Heat headed to Philadelphia to take on the young 76ers tonight. Without anyone expecting it, the Sixers took the lead early, going 19-0 before the Heat finally put up a point on the board by way of LeBron James.
By the 3rd quarter, LBJ and the Heat came back and even took the lead to enter the 4th, and things remained that way for much of the quarter until the final minutes, when the tide turned in favor of the Sixers, thanks to a Spencer Hawes layup in transition.
With about :30 seconds to go, LeBron James tried to take the lead, but came up short thanks to great defense by Michael Carter Williams, who ended the night with 22 points, 12 assists and 9 steals in his rookie debut. Talk about BEASTING.
We know the young Sixers squad played their heart out for Allen Iverson, who was in the building after his retirement ceremony earlier today.
