The madness of March is about 4 months away, but the college basketball action is just getting started. With the Charleston Classic tipping off earlier today, the New Mexico Lobos took on the UAB Blazers, in a thrilling game that went into double overtime.

In what was looking like an upset at the end of regulation, Kendall Williams threw up the prayer as time ran out, giving New Mexico the go-ahead three that sent the game into overtime. Already trailing in the second overtime, the big man Alex Kirk put up a money shot with 2.2 seconds left to force double OT in South Carolina.

The Lobos eventually played solid defense down the stretch and held UAB’s last attempt to tie with 10 seconds left, pulling out the W by the score of 97-94. Chad Frazier led all scorers with 34 points, while Kendall Williams ended the game with 29.
