Highlight Of The Night: Nuggets Drain Buzzer Beater To Upset Clippers

fyl
Randy Foye Sinks Game Winner, As Denver Nuggets Defeat Los Angeles Clippers 116-115.

In recent weeks, the Denver Nuggets have been the center of attention for the tabloid stories pertaining to the NBA. From the Andre Miller courtside blackout on head coach Bryan Shaw and even last week with Nate Robinson undergoing surgery for a torn ACL, the Nuggets have kept their composure throughout their rough season thus far.

Heading into tonight’s game, Denver had dropped 6 of their last 9 games and were in desperate need for a victory, to return back to .500. The Los Angeles Clippers have been dealing with issues of their own, as captain Chris Paul still out of action after missing a months-plus with a shoulder injury. Doc Rivers has done his best with the team he has and the recently inclusion of Hedo Turkoglu to bring in veteran experience.

More on the story and video highlights of the game-winner after the jump.

Blake Griffin has quietly been having one of the best seasons in his career and dropped 36 points and 11 boards last night. Los Angeles paced through most of this game, which Matt Barnes would hit a go-a-head three pointer with 6 seconds left. Like we mentioned earlier with the Nuggets missing a few guards this season, Randy Foye took advantage of the opportunity draining a game winning three pointer from 30 feet back over Blake Griffin.

The Nuggets now improve to 23-23, but are still 3 ½ games back of the Dallas Mavericks for the 8th seed in the playoffs. Los Angeles now heads back home in the sexy match-up this week against the Miami Heat Wednesday on ESPN.
