Indiana Pacers Improve To League’s Best 33-7, With 102-94 Road Victory Over Golden State Warriors.
The final game of Monday’s Martin Luther King, Jr. NBA festivities concluded in the Bay Area for arguably the league’s game of the week. The Golden State Warriors played host to the Indiana Pacers and awkwardly came out flat in their sexy meeting of the week. Indiana would score 35 points in the first quarter, as Paul George got off to a hot start scoring 14 points.

The Warriors seemed unmotivated in the first half, and would make their run during the third quarter; which continued throughout the fourth, erasing a 20-point deficit to two points. Indiana kept their composure during the 4th as Lance Stephenson and George Hill hit back-to-back three pointers to put a chokehold on the game.
Golden State gave a valiant effort in the 2nd half, but their first half woes (and going 10-30 from long range) came back to haunt them; as Stephen Curry was plagued with fatigue at the end. The Pacers now have the NBA’s best record at 33-7 (winning 13 of their last 15) and hold a 4 and a half game edge in eastern conference standings against the Miami Heat.
Before weekend match-ups against the Minnesota Timberwolves and Portland Trailblazers, the Warriors are now home for the next 10 days and will have time to get in a few practices.
