Kevin Kolb Sacked 9 Times In Embarrassing Loss. Get Your “Pink On” To Fight Breast Cancer Awareness.
Oh how much you’ve changed; Kevin Kolb, you bastard! Thursday night, for game 1 of week 5 play in the NFL, we saw the “then” undefeated Arizona Cardinals play the .500 St. Louis Cardinals. Heading into this game, most of the football world myself included thought this would be an easy victory for the Cardinals who appeared to be an elite level team with big victories over Seattle, New England and Philadelphia but sadly we were all mistaken.
On the opening drive of the game Sam Bradford would link up with Lance Kendricks highlighting a 2 minute 69-yard drive to set the tone for the rest of game which wouldn’t be good for Arizona. Kevin Kolb would lead the Cardinals down the field all the way down to the Rams 17 as they would have to settle for a 35-yard FG from Jay Feely which would be their only score of the game. The story of this game was the destruction of the Cardinals offensive line as the Rams defense would sack Kevin Kolb 9 times for 52 yards. James Laurinaitis who anchored the Rams defense in their success all night finished with 10 (7 solo) total tackles from tonight’s game.
The Rams who finished last season with only 2 victories have already surpassed that already achieving 3 wins thus far. With new coach Jeff Fisher, the Rams are 3-0 at home this season for the time since 2003 and with this win have now officially became on the radar around the NFL with limiting Kolb and Fitzgerald to season worst games. Kolb has now been sacked 17 times the last two games making it to the record books as the 5th most sacked QB all time in two weeks behind Randall Cunningham who holds the top 3 spots with Philly and Tony Easton of New England in 4th place.
Arizona now has 9 days to recuperate in preparations for their week 6 game at home against the Bills. St. Louis travels to Miami before their long 3-game stretch against Green Bay, New England and San Francisco.
