Worst Call Ever? Russell Wilson Leads Seattle To First Ever Interception Touchdown Pass.

For Monday Night Football, the Green Bay Packers would become victim once more of the “NFL Referees Gone Wild” with a very controversial call at the end of the game that had conclusive evidence of M.D. Jennings in possession of the ball. Here’s a quick game breakdown though first.
In the first half, it was a nightmare for the Packers as the best player in the NFL; Aaron Rodgers was sacked 8 total times before halftime. Before halftime midway through the 2nd quarter, Russell Wilson would link up with Golden Tate for their first of “two” touchdown passes in a 41-yard pass.
In the third quarter, Green Bay would finally get there offense on track moving the ball into Green bay territory for the first time of the game on the first possession of the half as Mason Crosby would chip in two field goals on 29 yards and 40 yards. The Seahawks offense had become nonresistant in the third not achieving a single first down until the late in the 4th quarter.
Speaking of that; fast-forwarding to the final and our favorite quarter of the season, we would see Aaron Rodgers lead the Packers down on an 82-yard 16 play drive capped off with a 1-yard Rush by Cedric Benson. With the score at 12-7, Green Bay went for a 2-point conversion but failed on a attempt pass from Rodgers to James Jones.
On the next possession, Seattle would get their 1st first-down of the half on a series of penalty’s that got them all the way to the Green Bay 7 on a 4th and three. Pete Carroll called upon Russell Wilson to go for it on 4th but he was unsuccessful on a pass to Golden Tate. With 1:54 left in the game, as the Seahawks would force a quick three and out for one last possession with 46 seconds remaining.
Here’s where the fun begins. In a last ditch effort to win the game, Russell Wilson would go on a series of no huddles and shotgun sets to move the ball down the field to the Green Bay 24. On the final down and last possession of the game, Wilson throw a Hail Mary pass into the in-zone which was visibly intercepted by M.D. Jennings but Golden Tate would grab part of the ball as the two fell down at the end of regulation. One ref ruled it a touchdown while the other ruled an interception.
On a booth replay, sadly the ruling on the field stood after over ten minutes to get a decision. To add insult to injury for Green Bay, the refs called back out some players so Seattle could get their extra point in the record books for their historic “comeback.” This game and week will never be forgotten.
