This NBA season, the theme has been homecomings. Dwyane Wade made his return to the city and team that made him, the Miami Heat, and the emotions were running. Prior to the matchup, Wade admitted that he hadn’t talked to Pat Riley in months, but he was excited to play in the building he built his career on once again. Even if it was for a different team.
Though he didn’t have a stellar night, the Chicago Bulls got the win.
Not only that, but Wade County managed to put up some highlights in the process. The sick reverse after beating Justice Winslow, the fade away off the glass, the dunk in transition. The crowd cheered for him like if he was still wearing that Heat jersey.
After the game, Dwyane said that it was one of the weirdest games he ever played in, but he’s glad the young Miami players are going out there and competing. He wishes them well and wants to see them succeed. As far as the actual game? He tried to get his mind off the emotions that were running through the system and showed some of the Bulls players his crib in MIAyayo.
