Arian Foster is out of action, yet again!
Through limited play in 2014, Arian Foster managed an impressive 1,246 rushing yards – sixth among all players in the NFL last season. Unfortunately, the superstar running-back will have to miss significant time this fall, this time due to a groin injury. He suffered the injury Monday night during the Houston Texans’ first fully padded training camp practice, which immediately altered the team’s plans of chasing a legitimate playoff spot this winter.
At the moment, the Houston Texans are looking to place him on the short-term injured reserve and recently tried out Pierre Thomas, Joe McKnight and Ben Malen yesterday to fill the RB void. The plan is to have Arian in practice after week 6, with the possibility of playing in a game after week 8.
Hopefully with this groin injury, he can continue to heal his body while J.J. Watt his defense looks to keep the Texans around .500 play throughout the first half of the season. The team is currently featured on this year’s HBO Hard Knocks, which is scheduled to premiere next Tuesday, August 11th at 10:00pm ET/PT.
