What is a catch, for $200 Alex
NFL referees have had a hell of a year answering to plenty of questionable calls (and non-calls) throughout the year and it’s about to be another one where folks ask for answers about the rules.
With the Detroit Lions on the goal line, Matthew Stafford threw one of his three first-half touchdowns against the Chicago Bears when Golden Tate caught a slant, fumbled it and got it intercepted by Jonathan Anderson. After review, the play was overturned from an interception and the touchdown was given to the Lions with everyone —even rule experts— baffled by the call.
We've looked at that play 10 more times, and find it hard to believed based on the current guidelines that he was a runner #CHIvsDET

At this point, the NFL handbook means nothing to the men in stripes. But shoutout to everyone who has Tate on their fantasy squad because those points still count, regardless.
